André Rieu and Gheorghe Zamfir on the same stage at Bucharest - "The king of the waltz" together with "The king of the pan flute"

It was initially set to take place a total of three concerts in Bucharest. But after the record ticket sales, delighted by Romania and the Romanian public, in December 2014, André Rieu established the fourth concert and makes a flattering statement for the Romanian public, according to a press release from the organizers:

"I have exciting news. I am so happy and I cannot wait to come in your wonderful country, not just for a concert, but for many more.  Only your enthusiasm and joy have made this possible! We have received many requests and we try with wholeheartedly to honor them and to reward your trust. See you soon! With much love, André".

Meanwhile, three other concerts were established, leading to a total of seven. The waltz shakes hands with the Romanian folk dance The performances in Bucharest include special moments, different than before. Master Gheorghe Zamfir, the great Romanian pan flute player, is the special guest and will perform with the famous violinist a novelty moment of the Romanian traditional music. Another novelty will be given by the fact that the concerts will be opened by the dancers of Transylvania National Folk Ensemble.

André Rieu, one of the world's best-selling musicians, of Dutch origin, began studying violin at age 5. He later studied at the Conservatory of Liege, Maastricht Conservatory and the Royal Conservatory in Brussels. He is the owner and conductor of the largest private orchestra in the world - Johann Strauss Orchestra.

He sold till now over 40 million albums worldwide. The tournaments of violinist entered in the "Billboard's Top 10" every year, since 2004. Not only his repertoire draws, but also his interpretation in the way of entertainment, excitement and joy that inspires the public. He plays a Stradivarius violin of 1967.

His repertoire contains most beautiful waltzes, classical music and songs from movies, opera arias and operetta. He proposed himself and he was able to realize classical music accessible to the public. He is brilliant on stage, interacting and resonate with the public, being loved and appreciated by it.

Gheorghe Zamfir, a great Romanian artist, a virtuoso of the pan flute, composer and poet who succeeded to conquer the world, approaching all musical genres and styles with an archaic instrument, but modified by himself and transformed it into a modern instrument. Moreover, he manufactures himself the pan flutes, being an innovator and inventor in the field.

He makes countless tournaments worldwide and has a brilliant success. His career record is very impressive. He created over 300 works in the folkloric, chamber, choral, instrumental and symphonic style. He recorded over 190 albums, winning 120 gold and platinum discs, numerous awards and accolades and sell over 120 million records worldwide.

It is the only European musician who won two gold albums in the USA. Master Gheorghe Zamfir impresses not only for his virtuosity, but also by the emotions shared with his public and his inner feelings.
