Boeru Domaine is situated at 4 km from Aiud city, 37 km from Alba – Iulia city and 67 km from Cluj – Napoca. In the vineyards of Cimbrud nature has created the best conditions for producing a good quality wine. Here nature, the viticulturist and the winemaker created one of the most refined wines in the Transylvanian Vineyard. According to historical sources, the wine of Cimbrud was the favorite wine of the ruler Mihai Viteazu (1593-1600), member of the Dracula Dynasty he unified the three Romanian countries: Wallachia, Moldavia and Transylvania. The mystery of a blessed place is amplified by the almond tree raised up in the heart of the vineyard.
Boeru Domains has a cultivated area of 130 hectares and an annual wine production of 50,000 liters per year. Cultivated grapes varieties are: Sauvignon Blanc, Fetească Regală, Riesling, Muscat Ottonel, Gewurztraminer (Traminer), Chardonnay and Pinot Gris.
The wine of Cimbrud has won numerous medals and distinctions: in 1879 he received the Napoleon IIIrd gold medal from Paris. In 2009, the Pinot Gris Cardinal received the Gold Medal at the Vinul RO Awards Gala and Sauvignon Blanc Domains Boeru (2010) received the Silver Medal. At the National Wine and Alcoholic Beverages Contest from the International Wine Salon VINVEST Cimbrud wine won three medals, one of which was a gold medal.
Wines with elegant and attractive personality and aromas have created brands like: "Vin de Cimbrud", a representative wine, that capture in a glass of wine the savor and the freshness of the land; "Boeru Wine", a diverse range of flavors, "Episcopal", a refined assortment in which the winemaker's craftsmanship turns into art "Cardinal", a noble and refined wine, the most awarded range of Cimbrud Domains and "Peratic", an Orange Wine. In 2012, the Boeru Domains Company developed the wine tourism section and began the construction of the “Boeru House of Wine” guest house, a place where the tourist, passionate by wines can truly have the ultimate wine experience, enjoying a quality wine in the place of its origin.
“Boeru House of Wine” guest house has a capacity of 10 double rooms and a tasting saloon (with 24 places). Food lovers find here a 150-seats restaurant where traditional Transylvanian dishes compliments the best the experience of a quality wine. The tourist weary of the city rush may find relaxing moments in the spa center with sauna, Jacuzzi and massage. The wine of Cimbrud reveals the flavors of Transylvania captured in a glass of wine.
