Davino represents a symbol of the premium products from the Dealu Mare wine area, thanks to the two owners of the local wine industry: Dan Balaban, an excellent wine merchant and the oenologist Bogdan Costăchescu.
In Ceptura is today a prosperous business on an area of 87 hectares with an annual production capacity of 350,000 liters of wine. The cultivated grape varieties are: Fetească Albă, Italian Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Fetească Neagră. 30% of the annual production is dedicated to white wines, 10 to 15% to rose wines and the rest to red wines.
The Davino wine brands are: Davino, Monogram, Flamboyant, Jacob, Făurar, Reserve, Revelation, Domaine Ceptura. Sales are carried out exclusively in the HoReCa network and in wine stores. The production is limited to a certain number of bottles per year and the Reserve or Domaine Ceptura ranges provide to the wine lovers a unique sensory experiences.
The Flamboyant range is produced by the selective harvesting of the grapes from the plots with the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Feteasca Neagră, the vines having an age of 37-40 years. The grapes are vinified in Romanian oak barrels and the wine is aged in bottles for at least 30 months. Flamboyant is a blend of precious varieties: 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 10% Feteasca Neagra.
The Jacob range represents blends with perfect taste and an exquisite production technique developed to obtain a unique wine. The variants: White Jacob (Sauvignon Blanc and White Feteasca), Red Jacobs (Cabernet Sauvignon and Feteasca Regala) and roses (Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot) presented symbolically through stairs promise a special experience.
The Monogram range is dedicated to the Romanian grape varieties: Fetească Albă and Feteasca Neagră. Feteasca Alba Monogram is a refined white wine, well-structured with a complex aroma given by the maturation on a fine yeast deposit, being used only the first quality must, obtained by the gravitational method. Fetească Neagră Monogram represents the specific taste of Dealu Mare area, it is a wine matured in oak barrels and then aged in the bottle for at least 18 months
