Histria Winery is situated nearby the citadel of Histria, on the sunny hills of Dobrogea. It is a young winery established in 2015 with a cultivated area of 150 hectares of vines and a sun exposure that help to the creation of the exquisite wines.
The plantation is 40 years old and it is part of the Istria wine area. Cultivated grapes varieties are: Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Feteasca Regala, Feteasca Neagra, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Chardonnay. Histria Winery has an annual production of 45,000 liters and a production capacity of 50,000 bottles.
The wine of the Histria Winery is produced with all the care for the environment from the manual harvesting and sorting of the grapes to their processing in modern stainless steel tanks. The ranges in which the Histria Winery wine is marketed are: Amnos, Mirachi and Nikolaos from the varieties: Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé.
The tourist in love with the wine and the wine experience can find at the Histria Winery, beside the wine, that tells the story of the place and its people, depending on the chosen assortment, traditional dishes from the Danube Delta such as: "scordeala", a dried fish appetizer with mashed potatoes, accompanied by a white Amnos wine, "piperichi targasiti (chili peppers)", an Armenian dish of fried peppers with tomatoes and sheep's cheese, best accompanied by Mirachi Merlot Rose wine or "lamb chops, cooked sous vide" with parsnip puree and wild berries dressing, served with a red Nikolaos wine, obtained from Merlot grapes, fermented with yeasts of spontaneous flora, highlighting the "terroir" of Dobrogea.
