Probably each of us had at least a moment in our life when we were so angry that we unleashed or we at least though about unleashing towards the objects the surrounded us. Well, the concept of an Anger Room comes to respond to this state of mind in particular, providing a controlled environment where people suffering from stress or anger can break objects as they please.
Of course, Anger Rooms do not have a mere therapeutic role; they can serve as spaces of fun and even exercise. The steps are simple. Once those interested arrive at the location, they have several delimited spaces (in Bucharest there are three) where they can break different categories of objects: electronics, ceramic or porcelain objects, various types of furniture, gypsum busts and all kinds of other objects which brake in a cool way. In order to make the task easier, the participants can choose the tool they want to use in order to break things: a baseball bat, a crowbar or a sledgehammer. Finally, for things to happen without incidents, those looking for such an experience are given protective gear.
The Anger Room in Bucharest is located in an industrial building in the central area of the city, and the cost of a breaking session is 50 RON (approximately 11 EUR). In addition, the owners of the space make an interesting appeal to recycling and sustainability, proposing that they pick-up for free objects that the people of Bucharest no longer need. Also, after the destruction process ends, all the scrap will be recycled selectively.
