Wonderland Cluj Resort is located on Calea Turzii, at the exit from Cluj-Napoca, in a wonderful natural setting. If you stay here, you can make the most of your time outside by learning how to ride a horse, playing football, hiking or playing paintball.
For those interested in a longer stay at the resort, there are 35 rooms available, starting from the price of 170 Ron or 38 Euros. There are single rooms, with breakfast and spa access included, which cost 38 Euros per night. Then, there are the twin inside rooms, with breakfast and spa, which cost 49 Euros per night. Additionally, there are twin rooms, at 54 Euros a night and triple rooms at 74 Euros a night.
By far the most interesting activities the resort offers, which are difficult to find elsewhere, are horse riding and flying in a hot air balloon.
If you think you might like to learn horse riding but you’re not quite sure yet, there is the option of a single session, which costs 45 Ron. Other types of subscriptions are Small, which includes 4 sessions and costs 170 Ron, Medium, which offers 8 sessions at the price of 315 Ron and Plus, with 12 sessions at 450 Ron. If you don’t want to learn how to ride a horse, you can just take walks on horseback, or ride in a carriage.
But the most interesting activity by far is flying in a hot air balloon. You can fly for 5 minutes while the balloon is anchored to the ground, or freely for between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the weather conditions. The website explains that, while there is some risk implied in the activity, if it is done safely by experienced people, flying in a hot air balloon needn’t be scary. In fact, it is safer than driving a car, it is said.
The flights take place early in the morning after sunrise and in the evening before sunset because the temperature is low and the wind gentle, creating the perfect conditions for flight.
